1986年に制作されたジョン・レノンの人生を綴ったドキュメンタリー「Imagine」
サウンドトラックにはビートルズ時代の曲とジョンのソロ、ジョン・レノン＆プラスティック・オノ・バンド名義の曲が使用されている。
今作にも収録されている「(Just Like) Starting Over」は1980年John Lennon & Yoko Ono名義でのアルバム「Double Fantasy」に収録。
彼の生前最後のアルバムになった。
話は変わるが、昔に親戚の家のリビングにサインらしきものが額装されて飾られていた。
それは英語で書かれていて、幼かった自分はそれを読むことが出来なかった。
時々そのサインらしき物を何気に眺めていたのだが、ある日にその文字の出だしがJohnと読むことが出来た。
その下の文字はYoko Ono。
JohnとYokoのサインであった。
筆記体で書かれていたJohn Lennonのnの最後の線と、Yoko Onoのoの最後の線が上へ向かって伸びて行き、2本の線が一つになり更に上へ伸びて行く様なサインであった。
おじに話を聞くと、昔に京都駅の新幹線のキヨスクでアルバイトをしていた時に、二人が何かを買うのに立ち寄ったそうで、その時にサインを貰ったとか。
仲睦まじい、そして同志であったJohnとYokoによるエピソード。
今あのサインはどこにあるのでしょうか？

ピュアで愛に満ち溢れている非常に美しい曲。
ジョンが亡くなって40年近くになりますが、これからも多くの人に愛され続ける曲でしょう。
